Priscilla Eva
Priscilla Eva joined the Firelands Symphony Orchestra in 2016. A native of Cleveland, Ms. Eva graduated from Shaker Heights High School. She received a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. During her year of study in Paris, she received Deuxieme Prix in the Concours de L’Union des Femmes Artistes Musiciennes.
As a freelance violinist in New York City, Ms. Eva held the position of principal second violin with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. She performed with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Colonial Symphony, New York Grand Opera, and National Grand Opera, as well as five tours with the New York City Opera Touring Company.
On her return to the Cleveland area, she performed with Cleveland Opera, Cleveland Ballet and the Ohio Chamber Orchestra through their final seasons. She held the position of concertmaster of Trinity Chamber Orchestra. She is a founding member of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and currently holds the position of principal second violin. She performs regularly with the Akron Symphony Orchestra and the Canton Symphony Orchestra.
She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Cleveland State University and completes upwards of 60 psychoeducational evaluations per school year for select charter schools in the Cleveland area. Ms. Eva is pleased to be returning to the Firelands Symphony Orchestra for this season.
