Orchestra Concert
featuring guest artist Steven Greenman, violin
The full orchestra will be highlighting the passionate music of Eastern Europe with performances of works by Smetana, Dvorak, Enesco, and more. The orchestra is also joined by guest violinist Steven Greenman, a soulful and virtuosic performer of Klezmer and Eastern European folk music. The program will include violin showpieces by Brahms, Monti, and the legendary David Rubinoff. Additional highlights are two compositions by John Williams: his violin cadenza from the movie version of Fiddler on the Roof; and his heartfelt violin melody from Schindler’s List.
