ATTEND EVENTS

In addition to our concerts, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra offers a myriad of events for our donors and patrons. Whether it’s enjoying great food and beverage with live music, supporting our Annual May Gala, stay up to date on all our happenings by visiting our events page.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to engage with any organization. We have many ways for you to get involved from office help, to assistance with community outreach, and event support.

DONATE SECURITIES

A gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year is frequently the most economic way to give. You may be eligible to take a federal income tax deduction for the appreciated value of the donated securities while avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciation.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned giving can be defined as a method of supporting non-profits that enables philanthropic individuals to make larger gifts than they could make from their discretionary income - both in life and at their bequest.

While some gifts provide a life-long income to a donor, other gifts use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for charitable organizations in ways to maximize the gift and minimize its impact on the donor’s estate. Whether a donor uses cash, appreciated securities/stock, real estate, artwork, partnership interests, personal property, life insurance or a retirement plan, the benefits of funding a planned gift can make charitable giving very attractive for you as a donor and reduce your family’s estate-tax burden after you are gone.

SPONSOR AN EVENT
OR MUSICIAN CHAIR

Whether you are sponsoring for your family, your business, or in memory of a loved one: sponsorship offers many different opportunities to have a direct way to assist in the production of our musical events, along with added benefits for you - like free tickets, advertising, and more. Whether you are interested in sponsoring an event, or supporting a musician for the season, we have affordable and truly rewarding options available.

FSO also offers several ways to memorialize your loved ones: sponsor a concert or a principal musician’s chair in his/her memory, provide a music lessons scholarship for a student in need, make a donation, or customize a memorial to your specifications.
