The Firelands Symphony Orchestra (FSO) was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization after nearly a decade as a growing chamber orchestra. ln May of 2008, our current Music Director and Conductor Carl Topilow joined the FSO. Since that time, we have grown tremendously in quality, subscriptions, attendance, and exposure to world-class soloists. The Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s mission is “enriching lives through music” and we live that mission with every single event and service we offer: from our main season concerts, guest ensembles, chorale concerts, private music lessons, and local community and education outreach.
